The schedule for the 2019 Park Farm competition is now available on our Calendar page. We are delighted to be returning to this ever popular venue for our 9th Central TREC Group Park Farm event! Our thanks go to Claire and the rest of the Pollard family and associated support crew for their efforts in putting on the event, and keeping it fresh year after year. This year sees a recurrence of the ‘short format’ Park Farm, with only Level 1 length routes being offered. There are 3 grades of classes:
- Newcomers Level 1, for those who have not completed more than 2 full TREC competitions before 31st December 2018
- Level 1, the ‘normal’ level 1 classes that offer league points and the chance of qualification for the Level 1 Championships at Bucklebury later in the summer
- Level 1A for ‘Improvers’. This will be a good opportunity to try the challenges that are usually seen at the higher levels, like bearings, a grid reference section and/or navigating on an aerial photo, without the challenge of 30km of route. We will endeavour to pair up novices with more experienced riders at this level if requested, please send a message to our Facebook page if you would like matchmaking.
We are also planning to present our CTG Winter League prizes at the prizegiving on the Sunday afternoon, so do check the League standings and see if you are in line for one of our fabulous engraved glasses. We hope that lots of people will attend, either to ride, help or spectate, and that the weather is reminiscent of last year’s competition (where quite a few people went home sunburned…).
