Classes (please refer to the Schedule for entry fees and further details):

| 1 | OPEN | TREC GB | Open to all horse and rider combinations. PTV obstacles equivalent to Level 3/4. |
| 2 | OPEN INTERMEDIATE | TREC GB | Open to all horses and riders. PTV obstacles equivalent to Level 2/3. |
| 3 | INTERMEDIATE | TREC GB | Horse and rider combination not to have been placed 1st in 3 or more Intermediate classes, or to have won twice in the Open class at Winter TREC competitions prior to 1 October 2021. PTV obstacles equivalent to Level 2. |
| 4 | PAIRS | CTG | Open to all horse and rider combinations. Horse/rider combinations may complete twice as long as they complete different halves of the course in each round. (No MA – both horses in the arena: one completes the first 7 obstacles, the other completes the last 7 obstacles). PTV obstacles equivalent to Level 2. |
| 5 | IN-HAND | CTG | Open to all horse and leader combinations. All obstacles to be completed led. PTV obstacles equivalent to Level 1. |

Membership: the TREC membership year runs from 1 October in each year and for insurance purposes, all competitors need to either be a member of CTG or TREC GB (including as a member of another TREC Club).
